Only a Bridesmaid by Haley Donnell

3.5 rounded up because I found the whole thing adorable.

What a fun debut novel. Only a Bridesmaid is a short, nearly-insta-love story focusing on ultra-introverted Hannah and sweet, funny actress Meli. When Meli is hired by the douchebag fiance to be a fake bridesmaid for friendless Hannah, she almost instantly falls for the bride-to-be.

There are no surprises with Only a Bridesmaid but that was absolutely okay. I loved the protagonists, and the brother and best friend. The fiance was easy to hate. And there was plenty of humor. It was nice. Like watching a rom-com on a rainy day with a cuddly animal in your lap and a hot cup of tea. And just what I needed.

I look forward to seeing what Haley Donnell comes up with next.
